Fishing in gullies in KZN? not sure there is any fish that will leave a fresh cracker alone.

What would you say is the best way to keep crackers alive overnight?
I know a lot of people keep them in damp newspaper, but would a bucket of water work better?

a live bait well works provided the water has enough oxygen hence the live bait pump
but wet paper and stored in a cool place like the wife fridge when she is not looking and opens it because she thought its curry leaf works well enough

also i read that once you get to beach, put some new water in a container and drop them in, they will stay alive longer and fresher

I just put them in a bucket with about 60% water and leave an air stone in....keeps them alive for more than a day
