Sardine Run 2023 Update - Sighting Map

So great news gents. The Sardines are well on their way. With first reports coming in of sightings at Qhora Mouth on the 23rd May 2023, the latest news is that shoals have been spotted further north in the Mdumbi Area of the Transkei on the 25th May 2023.

These sightings are fairly deep, with thousands of gannets reported to be feeding on them. Which is normal behavior as the Sardines pass through the Eastern Cape. As they enter the KZN Coastline they will move closer to our shores and bring with them the fun and excitement of the Sardine Run.
