Sardine Run 2020
So it has officially begun. The Sardine Run 2020 has kicked off officially on the 1st of June with Shoals moving into the Ramsgate and Port Edward Areas.
Quite a few nets were taken on Monday the 1st of June. Unfortunately Lockdown has kept all anglers off the beach. Hopefully by Wednesday the 3rd we will be allowed onto the beach to fish again, once the lifting of the ban has been gazetted.
Hope you enjoy the run, and we will try to keep you posted on where the sards are on this post thread.
Good Morning All. Sardines have popped up at Illovo Beach. One net dropped but missed the shoal.

Are the amended regulations / Gazette with regards to fishing done i..e for Salt Water & Fresh?
If so, please would you or any of our respected members kindly forward a copy or the link.

Hi Fazel. Unfortunately the regulations have not been gazetted yet. There is a conflict between the Ministry and government restrictions regarding the use of beaches. So we are now awaiting their amendments. So currently Fishing is NOT allowed.
