Reel suggestions for a 11ft assassin rock hopper

little 3000 or 4000 reel that comes with two cups
1 for braid
1 for mono

Ronald my Budget is nothing more than R700

Have a look at a Daiwa Excellor 3000, Penn Fierce 2 2500 or the Shimano Sahara FE 2500. All of them will suit that rod perfectly, some are slightly over your budget, but it's better to spend the extra just to ensure you have a reliable Reel. Trust me the cheaper reels will not survive Salt water much.

Get a K.P.
As you mentioned, its for gulley fishing. The reel will get wet by splashing waves and handling when fishing in gullies.

I will second that, get a kp if u gully fishing.
If u planing to spin with set up, then go for Grinder, 3000 to 5000 size.

thanks Guys for all the advice, i had a look at every option, Honestly having never fished with a KP, i went with the grinder option and Boy did i have some fun and my mind blown away with the options.. I settled on the Okuma ceymar c-55 for now I put MONO 15lb

Just a note on the assassin rock hopper, sales assistant mentioned this rod will break if you cast with anything heavier than a 2 ounce in fact he suggested i stick to below 2 ounce rated lures / sinkers or rod will break
