ILLEGAL TRAWLERS IN OUR OCEANS

I have heard that we might not get another run this year, as there are illegal fishing trawlers coming in closer to the shores of the South African coast and scooping up all our sards.
is this true, have i heard right
Hi Naven, these trawlers are always around this time of year. Not sure if they do target the Sardines, as the last time they were inspected no sardines were found on their vessels, so its hard to tell.
Hi, heard this morning on lotus fm that kzn ezemvelo is not in charge of patrolling our waters anymore and that job is given to the department of fisheries and forestry,the problem with that is kzn ezemvelo are the ones with years of experience to patrol our waters and maybe yes thats why our sardine run is so bad nowdays because of illegal trawling.
