Fresh chokka in jhb store.
But we getting killed with the price in tackle stores in durban. Can't understand why.
My mate bought me few . I used some this past weekend. The quality was very good. I got a few left for my next trip.
Different species. The one in the picture is pota (todarodes sagitatus). The species referred to as export chokka (loligo reynaudii) has a much smaller head in relation to its body, its meat is a much whiter colour, and for human consumption purposes, tastes a whole lot better. It is a personal preference which one you fish with, but it is generally accepted that loligo makes a better bait
