Chokka bait in jhb

Fresh chokka in jhb store. But we getting killed with the price in tackle stores in durban. Can't understand why. My mate bought me few . I used some this past weekend. The quality was very good. I got a few left for my next trip.

Circle Hooks. What's your take on them?

I have only used them when fishing for grey's, and have had success (when i actually had a bite haha). Here is a close up of a perfect hook up with a 8/0 VMC Circle.

Cape weather- effects on silver bullets

me thinks the sards are going to get a fright due to the horrid weather in the cape and come up the kzn coast, providing our water temp drops drastically

Offshore Fishing Report – Durban – 4 June 2017

Stunning weather this morning before the South Westerly came through. Fat Girl was out deep on a short 5hr trip early this morning. Water is still over 23deg.C, I was expecting it to be cooler and am also anticipating seeing the first Whales arriving at anytime. No signs of any sardine activity although I have heard that they holding deep off the Eastern Cape. We had some great action with a really nice Yellowfin Tuna today.
