Porpoise vs Dolphin

I was just reminded of a common mistake many people and anglers make, when it comes to identifying dolphins. Very often you will hear people refer to dolphins as Porpoises along the KZN Coastline. Just some knowledge for those that didnt know. Porpoises are not found along the South African Coast. "Porpoises are not very widespread, with many specialising near the polar regions" - Wikipedia. As can be seen in the Pic above, Porpoises do not have the pronounced snout like dolphins do.

Saw guys selling for R50 a dozen today in phoenix at the palmview robots ....does anyone know where the sardines were netted or where the sholes are now

Mozambique

Good day guys and girls. I'm going to be in Ponta do Oura from the 05th of July to the 11th. Its my first time so I have a lot of questions. Hope you'll don't mind. Please advise on the fishing spots I should visit. Do I require a fishing permit? Can I get fresh bait or should I stick to spinning only? Google is not as good as the guys on this site. Thanks

Fishing Licence (Fishermen Concerned)

Guys, I think we need to be responsible fishermen and law abiding Citizens. The Natal Coastal Anglers Union should question this regarding fishing licences. If it is a measure of income for the Government, then we should not be paying fishing Licence, If it is for Marine Biological enhancement and research then it is understandable and we should pay fishing licences. What are your thoughts.
